Don’t Turn Your Back on AIDS

Nearly 200 people commemorated World AIDS Day on December 1, 2007 at the Flowers Heritage Foundation’s second annual “Don’t Turn Your Back on AIDS” Awareness through Art reception. We received 240 compelling and insightful artworks from 15 Bay Area high schools, and raised more than $35,000 to support the Foundation’s public health programs. As one of our judges, Stephanie Cannizzo of the Berkeley Art Museum said, “I can’t help but think that the students’ participation in this workwill have a positive impact in the world.” The Foundation is grateful to the talented young artists who devoted their time and energy to the fight against HIV/AIDS.
