National Minority AIDS Council-

Major sponsorship for Global HIV/AIDS Institute at United States Conference on AIDS in October 2008.

Beebe Memorial Cathedral Empowerment Community Development Corporation-

Major sponsorship for National HIV Testing Day, June 27, 2008, launching campaign for free and anonymous HIV screening throughout the Bay Area. Goal: Screen 500 new individuals for HIV

East Bay AIDS Advocacy Foundation-

Major sponsorship provided funding to local HIV/AIDS community-based organizations in the East Bay Area and to support efforts providing HIV education and prevention, as well as care and treatment to those living with the virus.

AIDS Community Resource Consortium-

Funded 16-module HIV/HCV Living Now Program designed to provide vital information to underserved people living with HIV and co-infected with Hepatitis C to help improve their health, lead healthier lives and prevent the spread of the virus. Grant relieved 25 clients from a 91 person wait-list.

Children’s Hospital & Research Center Foundation-

Grant support for Kids 2008 - underserved children infected and impacted with HIV/AIDS.

Grupo Fremont VIP

Grant support for HIV/AIDS awareness and education community event for African-American and Latino MSMs.

Aspirations Wholistic Tutorial Services-

Grant support for multi-services program in Baton Rouge Louisiana that offers HIV/AIDS education and prevention, after-school programs, testing and STD services, mentoring, and spiritual counseling.

Council on Racial and Ethnic Justice – American Bar Association

Alternative Solutions for Communities of Color-

Major sponsorship for Conclave in New York City with leaders of color from medical, dental, legal, and other professions discussing healthcare and the impact of policies related to health and substance abuse for people of color.

AIDS Walk Orange County-

Sponsorship supported funding to local HIV/AIDS community-based organizations in the Orange County Area and to support efforts providing HIV education, and prevention, as well as care and treatment to those living with the virus.

Faith Fancher Underserved Women’s Health Project-

Sponsorship supported local community-based organizations in the efforts to support HIV education and prevention for underserved women victims of co-morbidities and domestic abuse.

Sexual Minority Alliance of Alameda County (SMAAC Youth Center)-

Grant support for innovative and informative conference educating youth and young adult LGBTQQI Community Health and Wellness Summit at Annual Leadership Training Institute.

Get Screened Oakland, Mayor’s Testing Initiative/Flowers Heritage Foundation Think Tank Collaboration-

Two day, in-residence meeting with 30 invited key stakeholders and opinion leaders in HIV/AIDS policy, programs, and advocacy roles representing major municipalities across the United States to chart New Directions and New Models for HIV in the Third Decade. Dr. Robert E. Fullilove, Associate Dean for Community and Minority Affairs and Professor of Clinical Sociomedical Sciences at the Mailman School of Public Health of Columbia University, facilitated the think tank group.  A white paper offering 5 major recommendations and more than 40 sub-recommendations revamping municipal, state, and federal level resources for HIV/AIDS nationally was compiled. The document was presented in a satellite session at the XVII International AIDS Conference in Mexico City on August 3, 2008.
